Jack Miles
Physiotherapist
I have joined Hoys as a new graduate physiotherapist in 2025, after completing my Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Charles Sturt University in Orange. Studying in the Central West offered incredible opportunities in physiotherapy and sports rehabilitation. This included working alongside leading physiotherapists, researchers, and medical professionals at events such as the 2023 World Cross Country Championships. After studying in the Central West, moving to Sawtell has been fantastic. With the beauty of the Coffs Coast mountains and beaches at my doorstep, whilst not being too far from my childhood home of Ballina.
Growing up in Ballina and participating in AFL, Rugby League and running, involvement in sports environments has been one of my major personal career goals ever since deciding to pursue physiotherapy. This has led to fantastic opportunities working with the Gold Coast Suns AFL Academy and providing 2 years of sports coverage for the Orange Emus Rugby Union Club during my studies.
As a new graduate I am constantly seeking to develop new skills whilst solidifying my strengths with the supportive guidance of David Goodwin, Matt & Rob Hoy, and the other senior therapists at Hoys.
My key interest areas involve running related injuries including tendinopathy and bone stress injuries, lower limb overuse injuries, shoulder rehabilitation, concussion management, and persistent/chronic pain. With prior personal experience in dealing with long-term injuries, I hope to assist individuals in understanding their painful problems and working with those people in returning back to their personal goals and endeavors.
