Nikki Manvell

Nikki is an APA Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. She completed her Masters of Manual Therapy at the University of Western Australia in 2015, where she graduated with distinction and finished first in her class. In 2011, she completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of Newcastle with Honours. Nikki spent her new graduate year working at the John Hunter Hospital, where she gained valuable skills working in the Emergency Department, the trauma ward, Fracture Clinic and Orthopaedics. Since 2013 she has worked in private practice in Newcastle where she mentored junior physiotherapists and physiotherapy students for many years.

Nikki works in Newcastle alongside Sports Physicians Dr Ross Cairns and Dr Steve Reid where she has expanded her diagnostic skills and gained expertise in treatment planning for Elite athletes and complex conditions. Nikki has worked extensively in the gym setting and with contact sport athletes for the past 10 years. She has held physiotherapy positions with the University of Newcastle Rugby Club, Hunter Rugby representative teams, Hunter Junior representative teams and the Wildfires Rugby Club.

Nikki has a special interest in treating conditions of the knee and shoulder and managing tendon pain. She has recently moved to Coffs Harbour with her husband who has started his orthopaedic surgical training at the Coffs Harbour Hospital.

Outside of work, Nikki loves lifting heavy things in the gym, triathlon training and taking her dog Arnold to the dog beach. She can’t wait to explore Coffs Harbour for the next 12 months, consume bucketloads of coffee and maybe learn to surf!
