Aquatic Physiotherapy is a specifically designed exercise program conducted in a heated swimming pool and supervised by a qualified Physiotherapist. Hydrotherapy differs from swimming, because it involves special exercises that you do in a warm water pool in a class environment.

Aquatic Physiotherapy is a specifically designed exercise program conducted in a heated swimming pool and supervised by a Hoys Physiotherapist.

Exercising in water supports the majority of your body’s weight, allowing you to perform movements that would otherwise be painful on land. Furthermore, the hydrostatic pressure of the water assists in the reduction of swelling and the warm water helps relieve any muscle tension.

Many conditions including: arthritic joints, sports injuries, back pain and joint reconstructions and replacements will benefit from hydrotherapy, due to its low impact and overall positive benefit to your wellbeing.
