Pilates is a form of exercising targeting certain muscle groups to improve overall strength, endurance, posture and flexibility. It aims to improve the body’s ability to activate the correct muscles at the appropriate time, focusing on those muscles that support the spine, known as the ‘core.’ Pilates combines the principles of muscle control and precision of movement with coordinated breathing and maintaining the correct posture.
