Heidi is our resident physiotherapist with a special interest in women’s health, who trained with Women’s Health Training Associates Pty Ltd.
Heidi can assist patients with:
- Pregnancy-related pelvic girdle, back, rib or hip pain
- Exercise during pregnancy (see our Pilates class schedule)
- Pre and post gynecological rehabilitation
- Returning to exercise following childbirth or gynecological surgery
- Concern of pelvic floor muscle avulsion following vaginal delivery or traumatic birth
- Rectus diastasis (abdominal muscle separation)
- Pelvic floor muscle weakness or pelvic floor muscle over-recruitment
- Incontinence (bladder or bowel)
- Overactive bladder and nocturia (consistently needing to wake for toileting overnight)
- Prolapse diagnosis and management
- Mastitis management
Heidi will be seeing women’s health patients at our Sawtell and Toormina clinics. Call or book online to secure an appointment.
Initial women’s health consults are 60 mins and are $150. Follow-up consults are 30 mins and are $92, Health fund rebates apply.
Hoys are Excited to add to the Allied Health team and Rachel will be joining Lisa as part of the Dietitian team. Rachel is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA). Rachel graduated from Griffith University, Gold Coast with a Bachelor of Nutrition & Dietetics. Since graduating, Rachel has worked as a dietitian in Central Queensland where she gained a broad range of experience helping clients achieve their health and nutrition goals.
Having grown up on the Mid North Coast, Rachel is now excited to be back home providing optimal dietetic care to members of the community.
Rachel has the skills and knowledge to help you with a broad range of nutritional services including diabetes, weight management, heart health, Irritable bowel symptom management, allergies and much more.
Rachel understands that there is no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to diet and nutrition and is a firm believer that dietetic care should be practical and personalised to suit your personal needs and goals.
Hoys Allied Health & Wellness offer two Exercise Groups each week to assist with the management of musculoskeletal injuries and chronic health diseases, such as diabetes and chronic pain.
Exercises groups are supervised by our Accredited Exercise Physiologists. They are university-qualified allied health professionals, who will help ensure that you can
perform your exercises safely and effectively. Individualised exercises can be provided to suit your condition and your everyday needs. If you need assistance with exercises prescribed by your therapist, we are able to help you adjust the exercises accordingly.
Exercise services delivered are claimable under compensable schemes such as Medicare and covered by most private health insurers. Cost is $20

PILATES Core Classes
Pilates Mat and Equipment Classes are back up and running after a Christmas break. If you are looking for a safe exercise class to support your back and improve your core then try one of our classes run by a fully Qualified Physiotherapist. Classes times are as follows:
Core Control Classes
Our classes are group-based class incorporating core and pelvic strengthening with posture correction and stretches.
Cost: $20 per person for Mat work class
